Kings Club

The King's Club is an annual holiday club run by Churches Together in Ilkley. It is held every August for 5 to 11 years olds. Each year it takes a different theme to teach children about Jesus. It meets for a week every morning (10am - 12 noon) with a celebration for all the family on the Friday at 12 noon for 30 minutes. A different church hosts it each year.

This year's theme was "Showstoppers" - five stories from the Bible which had showstoppping effect on the world: Creation, Daniel, David & Goliath, Christmas and Easter.

Next year's King's Club

will be held at Christchurch during August
provisionally
Monday 16 August to Friday 20 August 2010.

These dates will be confirmed by the end of September.
Details from, and offers of help to, Ruth Jones.

In 2008, King's Club was "Going Bananas" at the Baptist Church, looking at five Old Testament characters and discovering what they could teach us today.

The 2007 King's Club was called "Wastewatches" and met at Christchurch. It explored the themes of God's creation, caring for the environment and Jesus transforming lives. It included drama, craft, games, Bible discovery, creative prayer and more!
