The theme for 2010 was Monsters Stink.

There was a hectic start with over 60 children arriving and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to change entrances. The children quickly settled down to get know each other in their four mixed age groups. They shared songs and began to explore this year's theme of how we deal with monsters in our lives.

The five days went quickly. We shared ideas such as
• Disobedience (in the Garden of Eden) with plenty of snakes around,
• Dealing with a Bully - when David confronted Goliath with God's help
• being Lost - God is like a good shepherd he will always find us and bring us safely home
• Alone - how God was there to help Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane
On Friday we shared a closing drama with the inevitable umbrella as we tried to improve our relationship with God. Then there was a family picnic where the children ate the monster biscuits they had made.

Over the week, over 90 children came to the Club with an average attendance of 63 youngsters; this made it a busy place to be, along with the 23 leaders and helpers from the Ilkley Churches.

On the Saturday at the end of the week, over 80 folk came to a Pizza & Movie Night, with a screening of the movie 'Monsters Inc'.

The theme for 2009 was "Showstoppers" - five stories from the Bible which had showstoppping effect on the world: Creation, Daniel, David & Goliath, Christmas and Easter.

In 2008, King's Club was "Going Bananas" at the Baptist Church, looking at five Old Testament characters and discovering what they could teach us today.

The 2007 King's Club was called "Wastewatches" and met at Christchurch. It explored the themes of God's creation, caring for the environment and Jesus transforming lives. It included drama, craft, games, Bible discovery, creative prayer and more!
