Light Party

Thirty children from across Ilkley and Addingham had a wild time at the Churches Together Light Party on Halloween night held in Christchurch’s Lower Hall. Fuelled by hot dogs, crisps and cake, they enjoyed limbo dancing, apple bobbing and pin the tail on the donkey as well as making some beautiful candle holders and stained glass windows.

They heard about how Saul’s life was changed by the flash of light on the road to Damascus and how Christian friends helped him understand who Jesus really was. The evening ended with a balloon drop from the ceiling. It was great to see Christian children from different churches having fun together.

Thanks to all the helpers and especially the teenage helpers who really got the disco going!
