Welcome in the name of Jesus to the Christchurch website. We hope your visit will be informative and a blessing to you.

We hope you will not only make this ‘virtual visit’ but also, when in the area, come and see us and make yourself  known to us.

There will be a warm welcome at our worship services, in our coffee centre or at any meeting, activity or event.

  White Wells on Ilkley Moor

lkley was once a ‘spa’ town. It is still very much a centre for holidays or walks in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

In the past many came to ‘take the waters’.

White Wells is still worth a visit as you take in Ilkley Moor, of ‘Ilkley Moor baht ’at’ fame and the ‘Cow & Calf’ Rocks.

More importantly, we believe that through the Christian church it is possible to experience ‘the water of life’ – the spiritual nourishment that Jesus Christ can give. He offered life-giving water when he said to the Samaritan woman at the well at Sychar -  “Whoever drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water that I will give will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give will become a spring which will provide life-giving water and give eternal life.”

Jesus was referring to the life of the ‘spirit’. Our hope and prayer is that through Christchurch people will enter into a spiritual relationship with God in Christ and know the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. God wants to enable and energise us for the Christian life and the working out of faith in daily life, through the church and in the world.

Our mission statement sets out the vision we believe God has given us, and the worship, work and witness to which He has called us. Do join us in that through your prayers and if it is possible through your presence with us.
