Other resources used in worship include a modern audio-visual system that enhances worship for all. We particularly aim to accommodate the hard of hearing using an induction loop in the Sanctuary and Riddings Hall, and visually impaired with big screen projection and large print.
We use SongPro software (integrated with Microsoft Power Point) to project words of songs, hymns and responsive prayers onto two large screens, along with suitable backdrop images. This frees us from the use of a particular songbook and gives us a lot of flexibility in our choice of songs.
Radio microphones are generally used by worship leaders so that everyone can hear what is being said at all times whilst removing the restriction of static microphones. An ambient microphone picks up congregational singing for the recording of services.
Audio Loop System
The Sanctuary and the Riddings Hall both have a loop system for the hard of hearing.
As part of our desire to reach the wider community we offer a tape recording of the 10:30am service to the housebound and others unable to attend weekly worship. A copy of the Order of Service (large print available) is also sent with each tape to enable people to follow readings, hymns, etc. This ministry is a popular means by which people can share in worship and maintain contact with the Church Family.
This service will soon become a digital download facility or with CD version.
If you would like to receive a recording of a recent service please e-mail the Church Office.
