There are also quieter areas for your child to enjoy, such as board game tables and a reasonably priced café area.

Magazine-Style Presentation
This is an hour of fun-packed games, stories, Christian songs, bible stories, singing camels, Bubba the gorilla and a whole lot more.

Press Release - October 2011
Successful children’s club, Big Saturday, celebrated its first birthday this month by introducing a new and exciting adventure drama.  The club, which was launched at Christchurch on The Grove, Ilkley, in October 2010, attracts children of primary school age with its fast paced games, bouncy castle and fun atmosphere.  This October saw the start of the cyber space adventure series – The J Team – which is acted by teenagers who attend Christchurch.

Big Saturday occurs once a month on a Saturday morning from 10am until 12 noon.  Children are dropped off by their parents and spend the first half hour playing games, bouncing on the bouncy castle and getting to know each other.  After snack time there is a chance to sing songs, watch the drama and hear some teaching from the Bible.  Then it is craft time and more games.  The cost is £2 per child.

The new drama, The J Team, follows the adventures of 3 teenagers who are the only people left on earth not in the clutches of the evil Dr Cypher.  Over the next few months, the story will unfold about how they evade Dr Cypher and learn how to work together as a team under the guidance of the mysterious ‘J’.

Rev Rob Hilton, minister of Christchurch said: ‘I am really pleased with the way Big Saturday has appealed to children who want to find out more about Jesus, and have fun!  We have had a great time over the last year, making new friends, getting to know our resident gorilla, Buba and even going to Narnia for Christmas.  We hope this year Big Saturday will get bigger and better, the cyber space drama is great and runs until December, and then we’ll be going back in time to the Christmas of Scrooge and Dickens.’
