Singer/songwriter Garth Hewitt has been writing and recording songs for over 35 years and released over 30 albums. He has also written nine books, the most recent being “Bethlehem Speaks: Voices from the Little Town Cry Out”, a series of interviews with Christian Palestinians in Bethlehem.
Garth is Director of the Amos Trust, an organisation supporting those oppressed and living in forgotten situations: street children in Souht Africa; the Dalit community (“untouchables”) in India; reconciliation in Palestine/Israel; and supporting local income communities in Nicaragua. Through his songs, poetry and pictures Garth shares stories from these projects. His personal commitment to highlighting these issues is expressed through his music.

Guild Vicar of All Hallows-on-the-Wall in the city of London, a centre for organisations involved in issues of justice and arts, Garth is also honorary Canon of St George’s Cathedral, Jerusalem. In 1988 he received the International Art Award from the Gospel Music Association in Nashville. In the past 30 years Garth’s songs have been covered by other artists and his song ”A World Of Difference” was sung at LiveAid.
